It only knows addresses. The picture travels encrypted straight from computer to computer, and where that is not possible, through our relays in Vienna.
This is what the person at the target computer sees while someone is connected.
Your ID is like a front door key. navarolink never calls you, and nobody from Microsoft, your bank or the police will ever ask for it.

Nothing, as long as you do not earn money with it. Family, friends, clubs, schools and public authorities use it for free (PolyForm Noncommercial 1.0.0). For companies there is navarolink pro, built into navarodesk.
There is no hidden one. navarolink is free because everyone should be able to help their family and friends: no ads, no sales prompts, no time limit. We make no secret of what pays for it: our business product navarodesk uses the same technology as navarolink pro, and companies pay for it. We want to make this technology freely available to everyone who does not earn money with it.
No. No session limit, no disconnect after five minutes, no warning about supposed commercial use.
Only from this page or directly from the download portal dl.navaro.link. Every package is signed with a code signing certificate issued to Gabriel Thiel (Windows shows the name when the installer starts), and the SHA-256 checksum is shown next to the download button. The buttons always fetch the latest version; the number is shown on each card.
Both are good tools, but built for companies: their free versions limit sessions, flag “commercial use” and show sales prompts. navarolink has no time limit and no pop-ups, it is run from Austria with relays in Vienna, and the target computer always shows who is connected. In return navarolink does less: Windows only, no phone app, no company management.
Host and Viewer are available in German, English, French, Italian, Spanish, Dutch, Polish, Swedish and Ukrainian. After installation the Windows language is used, English for any other language. You can change it in the Viewer under Settings › General.
No. The Host shows an ID that is read out over the phone. Only the helper has an account: sign in to the Viewer with Google or an e-mail address.
Not yet. The three packages have been submitted to the Windows Package Manager and are being reviewed there. As soon as they are accepted, the commands will appear on this page. Until then the download portal is the only way.
Hang up. navarolink never calls you, and neither Microsoft nor your bank nor the police will ask for your ID. Only give it out if you called yourself or know the person. Whoever connects is shown on screen with their name and an SMS-verified phone number. If you do not know the person, click “End connection”.
They have priority. If they move their mouse for about a second, remote control pauses; two seconds after the last movement it continues. There is no input lock, and “End connection” is always within reach at the device.
Yes, with the same account. If a device is busy, the device list shows “Join”; the connection service confirms that both viewers belong to the same account. A different account cannot join, and the person at the device still sees who is connected.
No. The Host asks for permission on every connection, or the owner allows unattended access only for a stored key. Revoking it also ends running sessions.
Yes, always. A session banner shows name, callback number and duration, plus the “End connection” button.
No. It brings the two computers together. After that the picture travels encrypted directly between them or, if the network does not allow that, through our relays in Vienna. It stays encrypted there too.
Yes. The Host runs as a service, transmits the lock screen and reports back after a restart, before anyone signs in. The Viewer waits and reconnects.
The quality follows the connection. Measured over LTE with 23 % packet loss: zero dropped frames, text readable at one frame per second.
No. navarolink runs exclusively on our servers: the developer runs the connection service himself from Austria, the relays are in Vienna. Your own server, connection service or third-party relay cannot be entered anywhere, not even in a configuration file. That way updates, signatures and security fixes come from one source for everyone, and in return navarolink is free. The connection service only knows addresses and never sees your screen.
No. navarolink has its own servers, navarodesk has its own servers – no shared traffic. For the free version this changes nothing. Companies that want a completely separate environment can get one from navarodesk as a dedicated instance, at extra cost.
